So do you need to send your actual coins to be involved in the masternodes, or are they kept in your own private address?

Heya, unfortunately as with all shared MN services, our service is based on trust. To set up an MN we need to have all the coins in a single wallet which means users must send their coins to us.
Trust is earned and so far I believe we have done well. If you have discord I would recommend joining our server and saying hi.
