well I believe one reason is that bitckin is also dropping.  all altcoins acts that way, it depends on the bitcoin itself. And also one reason is that many altcoins showed up making more competitions at hands unlike in the past few years where they monopolize the prizes. but now.many coins showed up with better and promising potential. if ETH does not find a way to innovate, it will surely die.
