Hello
1. From user manual I did not understand how new blocks will appear, how transactions will be verified in one chain? There were some words about POS+POW hybrid system, but nothing more about mining.
2. One more thing, how decisions about development will be made after net launch? Just forum wars and conferences? Or some kind of DAO is envisaged?
3. How will be chosen who validate and provide exporting tokens (cross chain)?
4. How will correlate changes in balances on different blockchains if speed depends on network characteristics as it is said?
I'm very interested in these questions. Your ICO is really non-standard and it's not bad, but people want to know some technical details, but you did not share your white paper(
Thank you
Hi
I would suggest seeing the owner's manual as it describes Cross-Chain and validation at a high level. The devs are writing a more in depth paper on this as well to help give a more technical understanding.
1) There is no mining in Metronome. New MET enter the ecosystem via autonomous daily auctions conducted by the smart contracts themselves. The proceeds from these auctions stay in the ecosystem and move daily into the the Autonomous Converter. This process and math outlining this are found in the owner's manual.
2) See this post:
https://medium.com/@MetronomeToken/returning-to-functioning-decentralized-cryptocurrencies-from-the-start-51281aa9588f, in short, the community will define Metronome.
3) The more technical document on this will describe this in more detail, but there will be three phrases of validation roll out as described in the owner's manual. Jeff had a tweet about this as well that describes it at an even higher level:
https://twitter.com/jgarzik/status/10094854798158929934) It rides on top of other blockchains, so it would share some characteristics of the underlying such as blocktimes and fee structure, potentially other features if those are part of the consensus algos.
