To be honest, I don't think it can works. Probably it will become a spam-fest-crying for merits-board.

If you read most of the topics giving-away merits, mostly all the participants don't even bother in reading the thread rules; also, I've seen how many even copy-paste whatever they consider hoping to get some merits in return.

It is not bad for these threads to be difficult to find. Maybe the effort they have to make to find them is, in fact, good.
