The safercurve page carefully explains a number of good arguments for curve parameters and promotes DJB's curves. Indeed— DJB's parameters are generally well selected.

 Im working on a project called Confidence Chains.  you can read about it here http://altchain.org

 My initial thought was to use the secp256k1 curve simply to be conformant with Bitcoin and make Bitcoin users more comfortable.

 I have read a number of posts about the problems of this curve and that other curves are optimal.  What curve do you suggest and why?  The usage is similar to Bitcoin, if you have any quick questions about it, you can post them here.  It would be great to get your input on this.
