I have read this article and there are some reasonable reasons why facebook has done it. Social media websites like facebook plays a big role when it comes to marketing for every crypto companies. This decision of facebook can directly affect the marketing strategies of these coins. Facebook maybe then realized that these companies are earning big thats why this one can be a step so that they could ask for a higher fees for ads.
Yes I agree, Facebook also want some profits out of this crypto companies; however, it will affect the future bounty campaigns of other ICOs. Such actions might include tracking of posted pictures and videos from the ICOs; thus, it will tighten the Facebook campaign of other ICOs
OR facebook would introduce auto ads over ICOs information. If this will be the reason for Facebook's plan, I think this is not all about negating the ICOs - it is more on the inclusion of Facebook party in crypto (embracing technological diversification).
