I do believe that bitcoin will hit 20k this year, Why? Demand for cryptocurrencies is exponentially increasing, so will the demand for BTC. There have been some bad news in the media about Bitcoin, but I think that that had only a temporary effect.
That's like saying cars are becoming more popular, so stock for the Ford Model T will go through the roof....
Bitcoin was the first and it gave us the blockchain, but it is an
inferior cryptocurrency now. :/

BTC will naturally be replaced by some more advanced, secured and generally better coin but it will still have it's value as a first one ever to exist.
