Move over Dogecoin, there's a new contender in town.
With the growing popularity and value of Bitcoin in the digital currency market, a new alternative currency has hit the crypto coin scene which has gained the same kind of momentum and attention that Dogecoin did before hitting the widespread media. This new currency, known as Catcoin, has surged in popularity in the last few days, gaining well in excess of 200 pages in the bitcointalk.org forums, one of the biggest crypto currency forums online.
As of writing, the thread has gained 235 pages in just 10 days. Comparing that to the official thread of Dogecoin, which has 454 pages and has been going for 23 days, it's easy to say that a new trend in Cryptocurrency is forming. Unlike Dogecoin, which has a high coin circulation and a lower difficulty level, Catcoin more closely resembles Bitcoin in terms of its overall mining difficulty and circulation, with a maximum of just 21 million coins compared to Dogecoin's astonishing 100 billion maximum. This lower coin availibility makes Catcoin considerably more valuable. At the time of writing one Catoincoin is over 200 times more valuable than a single Dogecoin, being valued at 0.001049 BTC per coin, compared to 0.00000058 BTC per Dogecoin. In just a few short days this coin has already made it onto three well known cryptocurrency exchange sites;

Cats being synonymous with internet memes and youtube has already meant many new catcoin meme images have been created since the coin's inception, all of which show the potential of Catcoin to find its way into the mainstream public interest just in the way Dogecoin did.
