Either he lied or wants asic centralization.
There is no such algo really anti-asic,GPU and CPU are ASICs too. As long as there is profit,ASIC will come.
If you understand this tech truth,you should not persist to something called anti-asic.Besides dero,many coin even hardfork twice and back to ASIC friendly POW,take ETN and sumokoin for reference.While Dero just stayed at cryptonight and avoid one more hardfork.
The most dangerous thing for centralized mining is 51% attack,while Dero is immune from 51% attack,so even stay at CryptoNight won't impact the network security.
