It would be very difficult for Ethereum to reach $ 2,500 by the end of this year, everyone knows it is a good growing currency and with great potential but I truly believe that it could not exceed $ 1000.
Well, one thing for sure is that nothing's impossible in the world of cryptocurrencies. Even if Ethereum is an infinite cryptocurrency by design (which means there's no hard cap in supply), it has managed to reach an All-time-high of $1,000 last year. With the upcoming scalability improvements such as Casper PoS, Sharding, and the Plasma Framework, Ethereum might reach the value of $2,500 and more within a few years from now.
It all depends on what value the people want to give it in the long term. If there's a lot of demand for the "Ether" cryptocurrency used as "Gas" for executing smart contracts, then rest assured that prices will keep going up for years to come. Therefore, without doubt, Ethereum can reach $2,500 and more within the upcoming years. Just my thoughts
