I understand that getting schroder and luwawu for the trade and dealing a bad contract melo and a pick in return MAY look like its a decent trade for OKC but it really isn't. This was a trade to make a space for their luxury tax and they didn't made a lot of space for luxury tax to be low. They are still paying the highest luxury tax in the whole nba and the only players they have that makes sense is russell westbrook and paul george with roberson and adams as great role players.

Having 2 stars and 2 good role players doesn't justify "the biggest luxury tax in the nba" levels of payment. They should have stretched instead. Hawks on the other hand got rid of shcoder but also got melo and waive him. I mean if you are going to waive melo than just wave dennis himself without a trade. Sixers maybe the only part that got something in return.
