Op, Can you actually hear the difference between vinyl and cd?
Hi! It's a good question =) Technically, when you have a very expensive CD-setup, it sounds more clear, than vinyl
But for regular users there's a big difference, yes. You know, i'd like to have a few copies of my favourite albums - on CD, vinyl and on a tape, if it's possible.
Cos each press of each albums sounds different)
I have a lot of buds and customers, who have, for example, 20-30 vinyls of each album of Pink Floyd or King Crimson, and they all sounds different!
Personally I use not very expensive equipment about $20 000 for the full stack - and yes, i always hear the difference.
