It is quite misleading, I know. take a close look here:
"Due to the recent changes in the exchange landscape, and the concerns aired by our community, we have removed the volume requirement for exchanges. This went into effect on Monday this week."
Which comes down to stating that only the exchange minimum volume was removed, so even the smallest echanges can get listed there now. For coin/token listings the requirements did not change.
I don't think that we have to worry about it will get there because if you look at all those other coins that are worth more than Bitcoin they are in cmc to so it's just a matter of time.
