I wouldn't apologize for making a joke, especially on the internet and especially not the one you made.  Not to derail this thread with identity politics, but women are not such delicate flowers that they can't withstand some guy making a joke about ugly girls on a male-dominated forum--and I think suchmoon has a sufficiently thick skin such that he/she isn't going to be cowering in a closet in the fetal position over it.

We're in trouble if bitcointalk gets to the point where we have to start self-censoring our posts to avoid offending people.  Grow a spine, snowflakes.

You'd seriously let a joke like that ruin a relationship built on busting scams?  That's much worse than the joke he told, IMO.
