You can invest in less profitable spheres of business, for example, to buy real estate for a long time or under construction, to become an investor in a prospective project with interest distribution 
I'm not a big fan of real estate anymore. The market has been over saturated and most of it is overpriced. We may be seeing another crash in real estate similar to 2008. It's gotten really bad in San Francisco and Seattle, even people that are working can't afford housing. Millennials are fighting an uphill battle with the rising housing costs and wages being very stagnant.
