This merit source thing is a real nightmare. Sometimes I think I should give up and play with domains and bashing globalists. 
Please, don`t give up. You`re doing a great job, this forum needs you Back to the subject of discussion, personally I think, if you are planning to tidy up smb`s post and stuff like that it`s practically editor`s work. You`re taking part of creating this post too. So, an option 3 seems to be natural in this situation. And a guy`s comment will be pertinent also. But that`s just my opinion.
