I can't see how global Regulations could possibly ruin bitcoin. The very idea of regulating/restricting/banning, etc. bitcoin contradicts the idea of decentralization. I'm not much of an IT expert, but is it technically possible at all? Some global regulations might limit our ability to change btc to fiat, which is unpleasant, but by no means fatal. The worst thing that can happen under a scenario like that is that btc (crypto) might have to go underground. But I don't believe any government would be willing to do so because a government consists of people, just like you and me, who must be collecting their own coins (btc included) while reading this post
