GiftCoin launch had a lot more response than anticipated, so what happened?
- Bitcointalk crashed at launch time meaning we couldn't post links to wallet on time
- Once we posted the link, so many miners tried to mine the same blocks we got a tonne of rejects and orphaned blocks
- Small bug in the Windows wallet meant checkpoints were not set correctly
I saw unconfirmed coins in my wallet, now they've gone, what happened?!

I understand this might be really frustrating, we released the Windows wallet for solo-mining to gave a chance at getting some blocks.. but don't worry! You can still grab some coins at the giveaway.
We are sincerely sorry to anybody who tried to mine this coin but had no success.. We were initially planning to give away 25 GFT each at the giveaway, but instead we are DOUBLING it to 50 GFT

It's because the blocks are being found really fast and the re-target is every 2016 blocks. Rejected means you solved the block, but someone else solved it faster
