Talk to amazon customer service. Just say for some reason your amazon gift cards doesn't work.
I'd go one better and say they were stolen. If they see someone has used them they'll assume it was you.
Ok he says they were redeemed and is looking for the person who stole them.
Good. They can trace them to his account hopefully. Be good to see him get away with squat. Probably have his account on amazon suspended too. Let us know how you get on. It would be nice to see a scammer get his comeuppance.
