I have been designing for over 2 years now and i know i am still a noob, my only advised,,,, avoid using overly used logo elements if you can customize the fonts to be a stand alone logo then go for it, as long as the concept is their and readable as well.
Thanks for your suggestion, but I can tell you one thing, ALL has been done before, and even more if you are doing some minimal or geometrical stuff.
I just try To do my best comunicating in a aesthetic way.
