One of the main reason for the degradation of Bitcoin is panic in the market which can be overcome with the sharing of facts and information subject to Bitcoin as it is the thing which has again taken the pace and in the coming times bitcoin is going to be highly productive.
Bitcoin is going up if you look at the innovation and adoption of blockchain, there are more and more atm's popping up everywhere and use of blockchain and smart contracts is being well used by many, however there are a lot of big players directing the market and therefore also directing the panicsellers and thus the whole market since this is a domino effect, in the end the adoption will be more and more and in a few years time the marketcap is too high to be manipulated.
