Because most do not know what they’re investing in and would rather listen to the crowd. What happens then? Prices crash once you’ve bought into it. Taking a loan or using all your life savings can be hugely risky, especially if you do not have the prerequisite knowledge on the tech and the coins. Be informed. Ask the right people. Arm yourself with knowledge before jumping on the hype-wagon. This would significantly reduce your risk and most importantly, position you to invest in the long-term fundamentals of the technology.

And remember that all these advices are not only for crypto-related investments! But is a practical life hack to investment of any sort! #winks

And for crypto ethusiasts like us sweedy, it would be lovely to see many of us coming together and making it easier to understand for others what it means to back up an ICO, or how does the economy of crypto work?

This is perhaps the best response for those who are interested to invest unto cryptocurrency sourced projects.  Try to guide them to whitepapers, indicators of a good project and other basic property that suggests the legitimacy of a potential investment.

And by all means, direct them to the truth of volatility of cryptocurrency. Things could go up in a snap and dip low as well in a wink.
