I don't have experience on it but you must be asking to know on how it is to be a translator right? since mostly here in the forum are all about threads, posting and information there's not that much about verbal.
You need to build a good portfolio; offer your service for free.
Not totally for free but he has to do that if he doesn't have any experience on it. Asking some ANN threads to be translated into your native language for free just for your start up.
And when you are ready then you can ask the next projects that you'll offer your service with pay but mostly it will be through tokens.
