I have never been a fan of the so called BitcoinCash, and I do not think that I will ever be one. Bitcoin is definitely better than BitcoinCash, and I'm yet to fully understand why they will make a copy of Bitcoin, when they know the new coin isn't going to be even half as good as the original. For the sake of the people invested in it, I hope it does better.

The fork was necessary because in Bitcoin is no longer any Bitcoin in it, only the name remains
.
The code changes where so drastic that it vastly differentiate form Satoshis code.
Bitcoin Cash maintains/continues Satoshis code and vision and only increased block size from 2Mb to 8Mb, a necessary upgrade.
Bitcoin has become a bankers vision with establishing banking channels which they can refuse to do so if need be.

Lightning Network is literally a 3rd party custodian based banking system.
The heard and soul of Satoshis whitepaper
"A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution." is no more with Bitcoin.

Bitcoin Lightning inside.
Bitcoin Cash Satoshi inside.
