Will it be safe to assume that every area will have an equal reward rate for each unit of trash collected? Like, in an populated area and in a less populatef area? If they will be different, what factors will influence these rates?

To start out with yes.  Over time we may want to adjust the rewards based on how the system is being used, sort of like a mining difficulty.

No, I mean not like a change in rate from time to time, but a difference in rate for one place to another. Let's say the rate for trash picking in Buffalo is different from NYC? Or on larger scale, Washington to Taiwan?

To start out with, the rewards will be the same for all zones.  We may find that we'll have to adjust for exchange rates based on the local currency so that is a possibility we'll keep in mind.

But, wouldn't it be quite unfair? If the difference was merely based on currency? For cities that's rather dirty like err... well, certain cities, people can get easy money, but for an extremely clean cities like Singapore, where litter-er are charged greatly and discouraged people on doing so, having a random litter would be rare. And once they happen to have that, they paid with same rate (fiat based)?

Good point.  We'll start it out equal and keep an eye on it.
