Bitcoin came quite close during December 2017, when the market cap was $340 billion and the total crypto market capitalization was over $800 billion. All it takes is another massive spike and we may witness $1 trillion in combined market cap for all the cryptos.
we need only the bitcoin marketcap to reach 1 trillion dollars
When you can buy it online in 5 clicks and use it in any major retailer anywhere in the world to pay for goods, like you can with the iPhone and Apple Pay. Maybe then it will be worth that much...

Many governments just want to know about blockchain and ignore cryptos, for that very reason I do not believe that it is possible to reach very high marketcap a few years, at least it would take more than 10 years to at least most countries accept bitcoin as they accept the mobile phones made by apple
