did it across several PC's who's never had a wallet installed in them, all fresh twice.

Also someone please explain the set password everytime you import a seed already? why does it allow all passwords you input on an old wallet.
When you restore a wallet, it asks you to write a password. You can set the password (an old one or a new one) you want and it will be used when you start the wallet. The wallet asks you to set a password and you can choose what to write.same issue.
