because almost all ICO recommend using myetherwallet and it can also stored erc20 tokens. Im using this wallet for a long time now and it safe for me, always use bookmark to avoid phishing sites.
ICO doesn't recommend that mate. Actually ICO token had been creating with the ethereum block chain hence it is called erc20 tokens so that's the reason we go with the myetherwallet.
I love to go with mew due to the better marketplace usage from the various projects and mostly we see all are erc 20 platform.
