What am I missing.  Checked out 19 faucets all using CoinBox for payout.  They average 0.000000279 BTC per 30 minutes (couple an hour I believe).  Even if I were to have enough time to fill out the captcha every 30 minutes for an entire week (336 times per week), that would net me 0.001781 BTC per week, at $866.33 per BTC (current price as shown http://www.coindesk.com/price/) that means my 336 captcha submissions are getting me roughly $1.54 per week.  Obviously as the price (hopefully) increases, it nets me more, but hard to get it to make sense at current prices, unless I'm missing something.

What good is it if one only gets very very small amounts?

he is saying about 0.001781 btc per week and not adding fees for this mean if we just do work on these we have nothing so just do for fun and nothing more

I think you missed the point of what I said... The *main* point of this list is to get newbies started with using the Bitcoin system...

But I wouldn't say ~ 0.002 BTC is nothing. Especially if Bitcoin goes to five or six digits someday.  When I first started using these free bitcoins sites in late 2011, people were saying the same things as now...
"it is not worth ones time"; "Ones time is better spent looking for lost pennies in the street"... but those people didn't seem to consider that BTC would increase in value compared to those fiat pennies.  I have gotten well over 20 BTC from these 'free BTC', 'earn BTC' and similar sites... it might not have been much back when the market value was between $2 to $5...

Looking back I don't consider that time wasted.   Wink

The thing about the fiat gotten from the pennies/bottle deposits/McD work is that you can use them to buy, you guessed it right, bitcoin. I highly doubt you spent less than 10 hours to earn these 20 BTC. One has to value his time very lowly to spend it earning cents (maybe even tens of cents!) per hour from faucets, when bitcoin can also be bought.
