Odd that the Manager picks it up but the BTC wallet one won't... Possibly a weird driver glitch... but that would usually mean that you can't use the Manager either.
[1]Have you tried using the Manager to uninstall all the apps from the device... and then re-add the Bitcoin coin app on the device? Or maybe try and uninstall and reinstall the Ledger Wallet Bitcoin chrome app?
First problem, I think out here is a unsuccessful connection of ledger wallet with computer.
Possible solution
[1] or there is a problem with device drivers and not apps. I also own a Ledger Nano S and I have faced issues where Ledger Manager doesn't notices the ledger wallet device.
In Windows, Device manager lists it with a yellow triangle before the device name. And in such situation uninstall the device and plugging-in the wallet makes up a successful connection. Not sure for OS X users but for Windows users here are the steps to fix the situation :
Assuming you're on Windows:
- Open device manager.
- Expand the section "human interface devices" and check if there is any device with a yellow warning sign. It's most probably the nano s.
- Double click and and select the "driver" tab.
- Click "update driver" (or something similar).
- Wait (for quite a while) while Windows is searching for, downloading (again) and installing the respective driver(s).
Once the driver is updated successfully and there's no more yellow warning sign beside the device the nano update via the app should go through.

https://www.reddit.com/r/ledgerwallet/comments/82eza3/update_bug/Check if you can open the Ledger Bitcoin app now. If not then I suggest going to next step but please make sure you are having the recovery seed.
Secondly , I suggest performing MCU restoration and performing an update again. Its possible that firmware wasn't updated properly so I suggest to perform this again. Open the Ledger Manager app and perform these steps:
Third, performing a reset on ledger wallet and recover the wallet with the seed you have.
Hope this helps.
Coinomi and Electrum both fail to recover the wallet completely. They only recover the primary account . They are unable to recover the wallet's account if a user has maintained multiple accounts. I have maintained 3 accounts in Ledger wallet BTC app where Acc #1 and Acc #3 contains 0 balance but Acc #2 has 0.00011 btc. When I try to recover by putting seed into Coinomi or Electrum, they only recover addresses from Acc #1.
It is possible that the OP maintains his accounts in that way.
You really did not write anything new which could solve this problem, but just repeating the above mentioned things once more.
- OP is solve problem with connection Ledger -> Google Apps - this is clearly visible if you read his previous posts.
- I already suggested that he reset device and make firmware update (post 38).
- Manage multiple Bitcoin accounts - explained in post 36.
is made a wrong step at one point, and all this time he have wrong seed - but it is confusing that he claim BCH is visible with this current seed, and BCH and BTC share the same address which should be generated from the same seed...
