There is no point comparing the two, but if we must do, gold being a physical thing and much more controllable by regulations tend to be a more stable asset than Bitcoin. Bitcoin may surpass Gold in value this time, but in the shortest noticeable time be other way round, just because Bitcoin price is largely driven by speculations, doesn't have a regulating central figure (though an advantage, but comes with a price also) and for the reason that it is yet to be globally accepted. If compared to hold on these fronts, gold clearly has some edges over Bitcoin. Bitcoin may constantly surpass gold in price but it is not a given.
