Although it hasn't made as much as I'd hoped for on average (I was hoping for 0.05-0.1BTC each day), today I made around 0.065 BTC which I am pretty happy with (30% was in the form of LTC gains). 
As some others have said here before, try to stick to the coins that you would be buying otherwise (coins that you see some value in), plus maybe a few coins with some nice buy/sell % diff that seem to work for you. Currently mine is set to 0.5% minimum gains.
