Yes, because there is another big advantage to Waves over Ethereum (at this time)
It uses POS and not POW, so no mining is involved.
This leads to better scalability, as these networks typically are less centralized (no centralized mining farms)

Also its not such a huge waste of energy.


Granted, Ethereum is working on getting POS as well in the near future. (called Casper)
