Quite a few users already CPU mining (and a few GPU). Dedicated VPS node in place. It looks like this is the coingen coin and nothing whatsoever to do with the scrypt based coin that is now scheduled for release in April.

Yes, there is no source at the moment (whoever paid for it did not select the 'source included' option at extra cost).
Is it a scam coin? Depends on your outlook I guess.

Basically it was created for a laugh and some guys and gals on reddit started mining it. For many of us (me included), we are not expecting it to take off, or to make money out of it. I never got on the boat early enough to mine any sha256 coin and it's nice to mess around with it, have fun and learn a few things in the process. Alt-cryptos are not all about money
