NEO is definitely a good candidate to be a mainstream cryptocurrency in the near future, it seems like an improved version of ethereum because of it's platform and some people consider that it may even replace at some point.
I also think that the project is really very cool, but at the moment the prices on the market show that we are at the starting point, that is now the time of decision-making. Invest or not, it's up to you.
