There's no specific reason why but maybe a lot of investors are pushing it to get listed on coinbase and it fits their criteria. For me I don't think it's good to invest on ETC the price of most coins are still going down because of Bitcoin you might want to wait a little bit if you're going to invest.
I don't think so, its price will decrease in the next time when BTC down to 4k $, then the price of ETC is low
BTC won't be going back down to $4k. A month ago it barely went down below $6k.
