My brother had a serious drug problem for a couple years. It really helped him to go to a good rehab place near our hometown. He had tried quitting several times. Others tried offering to help him go to a rehab center. That didn't do it though. In the end, it had to be his decision. He made the call and went to rehab on his own free will. He was supposed to be there for just a week, but he asked them to extend another week. He just quit everything, cold turkey, drugs, alcohol, smoking. He's already been completely clean for a few years now.
