Some airdrops require personal info from their users like government approved ID proof, a selfie with it, contact number, email, address etc. Does this information really required? How to know if somebody is scamming you for asking this kind of information?

I don't want to join in the airdrops if they need me to fill my personal info because I think it is too risky to give our information to another project which we don't know if they can exist in a long time. there are many other campaigns that we can join without having filled any document and I am too afraid to join in the campaign that requires personal info because they can use our document for their purposes.
