Many problems can be pointed. Hackers, price going down, many negative prediction about its life in future made people stop investing in BTC. 
Bitcoin or Blockchain is still very prematurely known. You lose your Private key and you can no longer access your wallet. People who bought Bitcoin at $15,000.00 and sold them @ $9,000.00 and still checking now from time to time most likely has accepted the $6,000.00 loss.
