Why not ?? why people so blink about btc and can't see all the altcoin potential. 
I think the reason is because Bitcoin is used by most alt coins for pairs in exchange. And I don't think every altcoin rises every time the Bitcoin price falls. In my experience, what I see is every drop in Bitcoin, most altcoins also go down.
