A given success for the 15.000k EAC giveaway, I got good feedback and some where amazed that earthcoin had so much resources and big community.
hopefully some of them will stick around for a while Smiley

Great Job +1.

EDIT: I just sent you 25,000 eac, please do another one tomorrow.

You guys should give out fewer coins to more people if the point is to get in fresh meat.

@earthcoin

In the context of a possible impending lawsuit against the Coinye devs - and yes maybe the RPC as well - I can't help mentioning/asking if the devs behind EAC are absolutely sure there can be no lawsuit from e.g. Microsoft with that very similar logo to the Internet Explorer one..?

I think that is ok. Earthcoin has no conncetion to the IE. And it is just a plain lower case 'e'. In my opinion the logo reminds people of the logo of the internet explorer. I showed the logo to many people and they all saw it "Ihhh internet explorer. Nice coin, but this logo is bad".

Is there a possibilty for a competion for a new logo. Same style but less ie-ish? Maybe another font style.

It's not even that similar. It's just a blocky lowercase E. The tail of the IE 'e' hooks around to end parallel with the upper part, the EAC one does not. And the IE 'e' is heavier weight.

Please, for god's sake, do not change the logo now. Look at what happened with Quark running a 'logo contest'. it became an absolute cluster*** and everyone still uses the old logo.

EAC logo is awesome. Microsoft does not have a trademark on lowercase letter E's.

lol. It is similar.  If you have to go into dept to say it isn't similar, it's similar.  I immediately thought of internet explorer when I saw the E.  Sure, you can say it's not the same.  It isn't.  However, it's close enough to confuse most people.

In 80 years time people at museums will look at the microsoft explorer logo and say it reminds them of the EAC logo.
