If I have my ARKs on a ledger Nano S - can I stil earn interest? Or is this just possible with an ARK wallet?

Of cource you can earn interest. You just need to open the official ARK wallet while having your ledger nano connected and the ARK app launched on the device.
Then you'll see your wallet from the nano device in the list of wallets. From inside the wallet you can vote for a delegate.
