the amount of money that is recommended depends on how much money you can afford to lose, because it's like gambling. if you are rich and 100k is an easy money, then it's ok. but if you're just a regular worker in third world country, then 1000 usd would be a huge amount already.
basically, rich people can afford to invest in bitcoin and other cryptocurrency with ease as they can put in another fund whenever they lose. but for poor people, they usually have one chance, and if they fail, they will never recover.
now, poor people can have other ways to earn crypto currencies - by bounty and airdrop. these bounties require lots of time, which rich people may not have time nor interest for them.
