Like it matters the number of words you use. But let me guess... You are talking about one of those posts in the Bitcoin Discussion board, right? Which are on page 80 of a Spam Mega Thread, will never be read by anyone (because they are buried with another 300 shitposts) and it's probably just repeating the same points that have been said in one of the previous 79 pages. No wonder you have 300+ posts and 0 merits...
You're close: I count 275 words in this post, on page 83 of a spam megathread.

I've made 2 posts 300 words each and got nothing, I thought I posted usuful info. One of the post disapeared. I think it's not so easy to earn merit as you said.
I'm curious as to see what you consider to be a high quality post. Link me to a post that you believe to be of your highest quality, and if I agree, I'll merit it.
I'll do the same! Just know that I've made this offer before, and it never resulted in anyone receiving any Merit. Please surprise me!

Users without Merit sometimes claim new users don't receive Merit. I'm tempted to make a new account to prove them wrong, but it will be more annoying to keep updating my own threads.

I've seen users earn plenty of Merit with just one post. This one for example got 7 + 2 + 1 Merit:
Hi, it's Armory paper backup, you shoud download Armory and you will able to recover entire wallet.
It was the user's second post on the forum. It's helpful, it's to the point (it doesn't have to be long), and it shows knowledge that many high ranking members couldn't show.
