For now it seems difficult to predict the future of ETH and the others altcoin, due to all the price of altcoins were decreased and low. Some people think this is the end of cryptocurrencies and the others think this is a good opportunity to making investment while the price are low.
From my experience, i think it still worth to making investment on ETH. From the last 24 hours on coinmarketcap the price of ETH is $302, last year ETH can reach $950. So i believe ETH will increase again and give us profit like usual.
