Holding is the easiest way for most people. Trading in and out and timing is hard. Selling it in a low price may loss you big. I invested also in altcoins that until now i hold them , and patiently waiting for their price to pumps up, but to do that you need some time. 
The market is still experience fall down today and i think holding is still the best way to keep us away from any losses if the crypto currency market continue to drops due to panic selling of some investors.
