This is the only time Founder Edition card looks better then the rest. It looks so classy.
To date, I still think nVidia binned their chips for the Founders Edition cards.Jayztwocents benched a whole bunch of 1080's a couple of years back and he kept saying that despite having that blowing blower, his FE card achieved higher clocks than all the other AIB cards he'd tested.
On that basis I got myself a 1080 FE, removed the blowing blower, slapped an EK water block on it and put it in my Hailea chilled loop.
I still seem to hold the highest score for any chilled 1080 for 3D Mark Time Spy... IN DA WORLD!

Yep, there may be some merit to that. I have an EVGA GTX 1080 Ti FE in my gaming rig and it gets the highest overclock out of the ~15 or so that I've tested since they launched (the others are all AIB models).
