I think control is key. No matter what it is, only you can decide how it affects you. Even a blessing can become a curse if it is not properly managed. So, the internet on its own is nothing. It is what you do on it that matters. There are people that make tons of cash on the internet. This is even true about social media too. So, if you do business or something profitable online, then there's absolutely no problem with staying online. Each one to his own. Some people still waste a lot of time gossiping and wasting so much time even in the "real world"
