Probably for the same reason people investing in any company like to know who the founders are. If it is legit then there is nothing to hide, right? I would not want to invest a single hashbit if the founder was in a muslim country. Just be nice to know more about the people behind the business, age, education, experience etc.
Seriously then sooner you cashout and move on the better, EAC is not going to provide you with the fast buck you are looking for and that kind of mentality is unwelcome around here.
I agree on the part about "if it is legit, there is nothing to hide" - something that REALLY would improve trust for alt-coins would be if devs and people behind the coin did not hide themselves. I understand there could be many reasons for this, but trust is what builds value here. Have a look at WDC (Worldcoin) and you'll find real people behind the coin and that is what I ebeliev is what is necessary for a coin to be trusted.
I know dev has mentioned that eventually they would reveal who they are, but not just yet...
