No, it was stated you would have to make cognizent choice to enable cpu mining in the config file.
But you can actually be a gpu miner + cpu miner at the same time.
Aysyr suggested restricting cpu miners from the gpu pool so as to not disturb the leaderboard; then I said correct, since these are two separate pools cpu miners wont disturb the leaderboard
